[edit] Cleaning Red Wine Stains from Carpet
[edit] Method 1: Water Blotting & Baking Soda
- If the spill is fresh, try to blot up as much of the liquid as possible with a clean cloth. Do not rub!
- Pour water on the stain. Continue to blot up until you cannot remove any more of the stain. Do not rub!
- Use a thick baking soda paste (about 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water) on the red wine stain. Allow it to dry, and then vacuum.
[edit] Method 2: Bissel Green Machine
- I have found a bissel green machine cleaner to be very helpful in cleaning of all kinds of stains.
[edit] Method 3: Traditional Carpet Cleaner
If all else fails, find and buy a carpet cleaning solution from the store. Use as directed by the package.
